There are around 70 superb Golf Courses within reasonable travelling distance, from the bleak and blustery links courses on the rugged East Coast, to the rolling parkland courses of the Perthshire Vales, to the stunningly picturesque courses in the hills at the gateway to the highlands. This diversity of selection coupled with real value for money, has, over the years, contributed to Scotland's undisputed reputation as the "Home of Golf". Many of the world's classic courses are virtually on our doorstep, such as St Andrews venue for The Open Championship 2005, Carnoustie Links, Rosemount, Ladybank, Scotscraig and Downfield. There is also been an exciting development of new courses in our own town. We now have the long established and very popular Alyth Golf Course, The Strathmore Golf Centre, which boasts a 9 hole course, an 18 hole course, a driving range and reasonably priced tuition. The newest course, The Glenisla Golf Course is only 1 mile from the hotel and provides and exciting challenge for the enthusiast.
